Williamsville, New York

The Village of Williamsville, New York, formally incorporated in 1850, is primarily located within the town of Amherst, and, importantly, has its own governing body. That very determined board is dedicated to preserving the historic village’s cultural, social and architectural significance, as well as maintaining the character and quality of life that village residents feel make it unique. Denizens remain fiercely independent and continue to overwhelmingly block and vote down attempts by downsizing advocates to eliminate the village-centric government.
